We used male mice lacking tryptophan hydroxylase 2 (Tph2-/-) to examine the impact of serotonin depletion in the brain on the inhibitory effects of chronic predator exposure on male-male aggression and sexual attractiveness.Tph2+/+ and Tph2-/-male mice were individually placed into the cage containing a rat (rat), soiled bedding (rat scent) or fresh bedding (control) for 5 hrs every other day during consecutive 56 days.
