Background: Affinity peptide is a kind of short chain polypeptides which play importantbiologieal activity, like drug/cell targeting, cell interaction or chemotaxis. Our previousstudies found that a heptapeptide (E7, EPLQLKM) has a high specific affinity to bone derived-mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) without any species specificity. However, the biologicalactivity of biofactor is highly dependent on the platform materials, which providesthe site for biofunctional implementation as well as affecting cellular function by creatingspecific microenvironments for cell growth and differentiation.
