N,O-carboxymethylchitosan (NOCC) and methylcellulose are both biodegradable polymers obtained from chitosan and cellulose.Composite films prepared from those biodegradable polymers can reduce environmental problems associated with synthetic packagings.In this study, a stable NOCC/MC composite was obtained by casting the NOCC and MC blended solution and cross-linking the NOCC/MC blend in aqueous CaCl2 solution.
