Introduction:The bitter melon(Momordica charantia L)is extensively cultivated in China and some Asian countries.Its is not only a common daily vegetable but is used as a functional vegetable as a folk remedy for conditions such as diabetes, cancer and obesity in many countries.Numberous enzymes and bioactive proteins have been identified in bitter melon fruit and seed,further work is required in order to validate and elucidate its health benefits.
