Fe-Doped TiO2 Powders synthesized by Sol-Gel Method

  Fe-doped Titania powders were prapared using sol-gel method.by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersion X-ray spectrum in scanning transmission electronic microscope (STEM-EDS) and UV-Vis spectrophotometer (UV-Vis).The results show that Fe3+ dopant significantly inhibited the phase transition and grain growth of TiO2, as sintering temperature rises, the binding energy of Ti2p of Fe3+-doped titania were reduced.the absorption edge of Fe3+-doped titania were red shift, and with the increasing of calcination temperature, the light absorption band edges of Fe3+ doped TiO2 were red shift.The widest range of ultraviolet-visible spectral absorption of Fe3+-doped titania was calcinated at 650 ℃, whose absorb edges was 649nm and forbidden bandwidth was 1.9106eV.
