The 30K proteins in the hemolymph of silkworm (Bombyx mori) are a family of low molecular weight lipoproteins.The functions of these proteins are still limited at the current stage.In this short communication a 30K protein encoded by the open reading fram Bmb021422 was successfully purified from the hemolymph of silkworm at the 5th instar by means of anion-cation exchange and gel chromatography menthod.
