Knowledge of population genetic structure and intrapopulation levels of genetic variation are relevant for understanding population dynamics and evolutionary processes.We genotyped 70 individuals distributed across 6 natural populations in southwest China at 9 microsatellite loci to analyze population differentiation and genetic diversity in Dendroblum nobile,a traditional Chinese tonic medicine.Seven pairs of primers were novel developed and two pairs were chosen from the EST-SSRs.
