Triticum aestivum alsocalled bread wheat is one of the main crops globally while its domesticated wasonly 10000 years ago.One main reason is that the three ancient genomes AABBDDmerged in wheat which make hexaploid wheat plastic.However the mechanism of homoeologexpressionin allopolypoid genomes is not clear.
