Our research focuses on rice as model plant to analyse the interaction with nematodes at the cellular and molecular level.To get a comprehensive overview of the compatible plant response to nematode infection, mRNA sequencing was performed on rice after nematode infection.Local infected tissue was compared with systemic tissue after infection by the root knot nematode Meloidogyne graminicola or the migratory nematode Hirschmanniella oryzae and with control tissue of the same developmental stage.
