The nitrogen-fixing symbiosis between legumes and rhizobia carries enormous economic and environmental values. My research group is searching for important plant regulators of this interaction to realize the full potential of this mutualism. We take advance of the genetic resources in the model legume Medicago truncatula (a close relative of alfalfa) in an unbiased approach to uncover crucial pathways.
