As the commercial use of engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) increases, concerns have been raised about their potential environmental and health risks.ENMs are currently defined as materials with at least one dimension between 1 to 100 nm.Early studies have showed that nanoparticles are more toxic than fine particulates (<2.5 pmn) of the same material on a mass basis[1].
