Fuji (Malus domestica Borhk) is one of the popular apple cultivars in China.Anthocyanins are the most important pigments for red colour in apples.The formation of apple anthocyanin is usually light dependent.Yan Fu 8 is a deep red mutation of Fuji and its fruit can even show bright red color inside the tree crown.The purpose of present paper is to explore the sensitivity of its anthocyanin synthesis to light.
