Objective:To evaluate the clinical application of 3D navigation in percutaneous vertebroplasty and pedicle screw implantation and its differences between CT-based and C-arm-based 3D navigation system.Methods:From 2004 to 2007,34 cases of vertebroplasy,47 transpedicular puncture needle insertions,1122 pedicle screws implantation were performed under the guidance of the 3D navigation system.During the procedure,several items were measured and evaluated,including the time of transpedicular puncture,accuracy and safety of the puncture needle insertion and the exposure time to the X-rays.The differences between X-ray fluoroscopy and CT-based navigation and even their advantages and disadvantages also were analyzed by a cadaveric experiments.
