雄性不育系的研究和应用不仅在农业生产上有重大意义。而且对于遗传学理论将产生深远的影响,促使遗传学从遗传学家的课堂上和书本里解放出来。遗传学为广大群众所掌握、所利用,并与广大群众在三大革命中积累起来的丰富经验相结合之后,就会变为用来改造各种植物和动物,用来和疾病作斗争的武器;同时,遗传学本身也将有重要的发展和革新。现在我们正在研究的一种引进的小麦雄性不育系,是通过远缘杂交得到的。
The research and application of male sterile lines are not only significant in agricultural production.
