各学科教学内容本身都蕴含着丰富的德育内容,各门学科都能而且必须向学生进行德育教育,这是由各科教学目标所规定的。《义务教育英语课程标准》对小学英语教学的任务作了明确规定:在培养学生语言运用能力的同时,要使“学生在英语学习中受到良好的思想品德教育,个性得到健康和谐的发展”。新课程下的小学英语课程从情感态度、语言知识、语言技能、学习策略、文化意识等五个纬度确定了课程目标,并把情感、态度与价值观目标放在首位,强调对学生进行国际视野、祖国意识、合作精神、自信意志、动机兴趣等方面的教育。
