Almost at the same time as the world, China began its attempt to use stem cells as a separate industry: In December 1999, the stem cell research was listed as the top ten scientific breakthroughs of the year by the US “Science” magazine; in October 2000, the State Planning Commission Approved the “Industrial Base for Stem Cell Engineering Products” project of the Institute of Hematology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and listed it in the national high-tech industry development project plan; In December 2000, “Science” magazine again named the Stem Cell Research as the Top Ten Technology of the Year achievement;
