植硅体作为古环境的代用指标是以植硅体形态分类研究为基础的,植硅体分类研究程度将直接影响到植硅体应用的精度及深度。从植硅体的植物母体来源分析和讨论,分别总结和比较多种植物(21科的草本植物及20科的木本植物)科、属乃至种级水平上的典型植硅体类型,植硅体组合特征及同一类型植硅体的细微差别。综合多位学者的认识,以期能够完善植硅体形态学研究,为植硅体在现代植物分类、重建古环境、环境考古等领域提供有意义的证据和资料。
