O-cresol is an important raw material or intermediate of pesticide, medicine, dye, engineering plastic, assistant and so on. For example, the sodium salt of 2-methyl-4-chloro (2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetate) produced by Wujin Pesticide Factory in our province is one of the herbicides currently used in our country,
