张家界武陵源风景名胜区位于湖南省西北部武陵山脉中段,景区面积369平方公里,包括张家界国有森林公园、索溪峪和天子山三个自然风景区,总面积达522平方公里。景区为80年代新崛起的世界一流的自然风景生态旅游区。1982年张家界被列为我国第一座国家森林公园;1992年12月,联合国教科文组织将武陵源列入《世界遗产名录》;我国著名风景园林专家朱畅忠教授认定张家界是天下第一奇山;1998年元月,《人民日报》社由此而发表文章——“天下第一奇山张家界已成为旅游热点”而驰名中外。
Located in the middle of the Wuling Mountain Range in the northwestern part of Hunan Province, Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area covers 369 square kilometers including Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxiyu and Tianzishan with a total area of 522 square kilometers. Scenic area for the new rise in the 80’s world-class natural scenic eco-tourism area. In 1982, Zhangjiajie was listed as the first national forest park in China. In December 1992, UNESCO listed Wulingyuan in the World Heritage List. Professor Zhu Changzhong, a famous landscape architect in our country, identified Zhangjiajie as the first mountain in the world. 1998 In January of this year, “People’s Daily” agency published an article - “The best in the world Zhangjiajie has become a tourist hot spot,” but renowned at home and abroad.
