In order to find the relationship between human leukocyte antigen (HLA) as a genetic marker and the development of hydatidiform mole (HM), the first study and report on this issue were conducted in two departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Immunology of Alexandria University School of Medicine. The study included 18 women histologically proven hydatidiform moles and their husbands as study groups: the first control group consisted of 300 normal women with no history of hydatidiform moles and used to study female HLA typing and disease Development of the possibility of the connection between the two; the second control group consists of 20 normal pregnancy, no history of hydatidiform mole of both parties to study the compatibility of both sides of the couple on the impact of disease development.
