Objective To understand the impact of non-treatment factors on the outcome of anti-tuberculosis treatment in patients with dual infection with TB / HIV. Methods A total of 6 newly diagnosed TB / HIV co-infected patients in 6 counties in 3 provinces from 2007 to 2008 were selected as the observation subjects. The treatment outcome of non-TB patients such as sex, age, occupation, educational level and marital status were analyzed Impact. RESULTS: Treatment success (cure + completion of treatment) and loss (discontinuation of treatment) were used as outcome variables for a total of 294 patients. The patients were predominantly young and middle-aged men. The main route of HIV infection was intravenous drug use and sexually transmitted diseases. Nearly one third of the patients had no permanent occupations and had primary education or below, and their marital status was divorced or widowed. Low educational level, divorced or widowed patients, anti-TB treatment interrupt treatment rate. Conclusion To reduce the rate of interruption of TB treatment in patients with TB / HIV infection, we should pay attention to psychological support and health education before and after treatment, especially for those with no fixed occupation, lower educational level, divorced or widowed.
