本研究旨在调查外籍专家、留学生和中国大学生对中国英文报刊中本土化英语的可理解度。研究方法采用文本分析、问卷调查和访谈,共收集139位受试的数据,留学生被分为英语水平高、中、低三组。结果表明:第一,外籍教师认为中国英文报刊中影响理解的表达主要是不常见的搭配或句式、中国特色术语及外宣语等。第二,中国大学生和留学生高水平组对本土化英语的理解难度不大,中水平组的理解难度略有增加,低水平组的难度最大。第三,中国大学生和留学生高水平组受试能够较准确地解释本土化英语,中水平组受试和低水平组受试大多数存在解释困难。
This study aims to investigate the understandability of foreign experts, foreign students and Chinese college students in their native English in Chinese English newspapers. A total of 139 subjects were collected using text analysis, questionnaires and interviews. The students were divided into three groups: high English, middle and low English. The results show that: First, the foreign teachers think that the expressions affecting understanding in Chinese English newspapers and magazines are mainly uncommon collocations or sentences, terms with Chinese characteristics and propaganda. Second, Chinese college students and international students in high-level group are not difficult to understand localization English. The level of understanding is slightly more difficult for middle-level students and the harder for low-level students. Thirdly, high-level subjects in Chinese college students and international students can interpret localized English more accurately, and most of the subjects in the middle-level and low-level groups have difficulties in interpretation.
