《中国古典小说学论纲》一文共分为:一、小引;二、中国古代小说观念衍化的宏观轨迹;三、中国古代小说民族风格的美学特性;四、自成格局的小说理论批评;五、结语五部分组成。由于本刊篇幅所限,拟分两次连载,本期刊载前三部分。作者附记如下:“本文是为中国民航学院社科部几位老师合作编著的《中国古典小说艺术技法例释》一书所撰写的‘绪论’部分。全书约廿五万余字,有例、有释、有评,熔知识性、学术性、可读性子一炉,在阐释中国古典小说艺术技法上颇有见地。笔者不才,参与撰写绪论部分,主要是为中国古典小说学研究勾画一个极为粗略的轮廓,以便读者更好地把握全书的内容。本文是在前贤和时贤研完成果的基础上提出的一些极不成熟的意见,现借《民航学院学报》一角之地,先行发表,以期得到读者、同仁的批评指正,以便修改。《中国古典小说艺术技法例释》一书即将由浙江古籍出版社正式出版。”
