With Cannes this blessed land, Jia Zhangke finally got his own refresh record. After a lapse of three years, this is the second time that Chinese filmmakers won the Best Screenplay Award in Cannes. The last time was Lou Yeh’s “Spring Intoxicated Night” and screenwriter Mei Feng. The “Anniversary of Tianzhu” was solely sponsored by Jia Zhangke Self-directed. However, the media has questioned whether Jia Zhangke will be awarded the best screenwriter. Is it in recognition of his talent or his courage? For the Chinese-language cinema in recent years, a good script always seems to be a scarce resource that can never be met. Cannes but did not begrudge two
