触觉是皮肤感觉中的一种。皮肤受机械刺激时可产生触觉,触觉是轻微的机械刺激使皮肤浅层感受器兴奋而引起的感觉。触觉感受器在有毛的皮肤中是毛囊神经末梢,在无毛的皮肤中是迈斯纳氏触觉小体。触觉感受器在头面部、嘴唇、舌部和手指部的分布都极为丰富,尤其是手指尖部。远在古代,祖国医学就是用手来治疗疾病,如医生用指尖在病人背部上下垂直按动,这就是早期按摩疗法。我国的正骨医生在病人受伤的脊柱周围用推拿正骨的手法以及指压法和穴位法都是促进人们身体健康的疗法。
