菊花脑别名菊花叶、路边黄、黄菊仔等,为菊科菊属多年生宿根草本植物,有大叶和小叶品种之分。菊花脑是一种原产于中国的珍稀蔬菜,茎叶可供食用,具菊花芳香,风味独特,作为一种无公害的绿色蔬菜,具有较大的市场潜力。将菊花脑从原产地引种到河南省驻马店地区,不仅在一定程度上丰富了引入地的蔬菜种类,丰富了当地的种质资源,更加强了蔬菜文化交流。
