民国初年,随着城市现代化和卫生现代化的推进,广州市民的卫生观念和卫生习惯开始发生重大变迁。1921年,广州市政厅成立。为了配合市政建设,同年3月,广州市成立了民国以来全国首个建立卫生体制行政机构——广州市卫生局。广州市的卫生工作步入了正轨,且在卫生行政上颇有建树。黄炎培曾说:“盖卫生行政,中国尚未讲求,广州市特聘专门人才,主持此项行政……足于卫生行政史上放一异彩。”
In the early years of the Republic of China, with the promotion of urban modernization and hygienic modernization, Guangzhou citizens began to undergo major changes in their hygienic concepts and hygiene habits. In 1921, Guangzhou City Hall was established. In order to meet the municipal construction, in March the same year, Guangzhou City, the establishment of the Republic of China since the establishment of the first administrative body of the health system - the Guangzhou Municipal Health Bureau. Guangzhou’s sanitation work has been on track and has made its due contribution to health administration.
