INTRODUCTION Ocean Reefs have received renewed attention after deep sea drilling results and additional marine geophysical data are utilized. Most of the data suggest that some of the ancient ocean platforms were formed off the mainland and then collided with the continent (Gones et al., 1977; Ben-Avraham and Cooper, 1981). Huo Yang Hai Tai is a large, mostly submerged in the sea under the high-lying terrain area, which complex with relatively thick sediments. Huo Yang Hai Tai general than the surrounding sea floor more than one kilometer, an area of at least a few hundred square kilometers, the largest sediment thickness of more than 0.5 km. Most are earthquake-free, and have more than the surrounding
