碳,我的生命由你而生,也可以由你而终。我不是在求婚求爱,这是生命的事实。所有的地球生命由甲烷开始,而甲烷成份只有碳和氢。人类需要火,火要燃料,而碳是最早的燃料。同时最好的润滑剂——石墨,成份也是碳;到了公元前800年,人类在印度的河流里面发现了钻石,无坚不摧的碳——钻石,光亮璀灿的钻石,搀和了其它成份的色彩缤纷的红钻、粉红钻、蓝钻、黄钻、橘钻、绿钻,在全世界的拍卖场上,收藏家争相出高价竞投,令女士们爱不释手,上流人士出现大小舞会场合,争相展示的都是这些闪闪生辉,夺目耀眼的钻石。但是这些稀有石头,在科学家、化学家眼中都只不过是和黑煤碳一样的化学元素,所不同的只是 Carbon, my life is born of you, it can be yours.
