In the traditional view, the clinician’s duty is to help patients and to continuously improve their clinical practice skills. They are generally inferior to those of scientific researchers in the accomplishments and skills of some theoretical issues. However, the experience gained by researchers in clinical practice, the problems encountered and the ability to make research ideas are far less than those of clinicians. The face of clinical and scientific research embarrassment out of touch, the concept of clinical scientists ready to come. As a bridge between clinical medicine and basic science, clinicians have a unique knowledge background that allows them to communicate and collaborate with basic scientists and bioengineers. They are also familiar with the clinic and have a common language with clinicians. This enables clinical scientists to acquire knowledge from clinical and scientific research, identify problems and stimulate creativity, and promptly extend the clinical application of new diagnostic techniques and treatment methods obtained from experimental research. To this end, this issue of magazines is compiled in particular, “is disappearing clinical scientists,” a text, looking forward to understand the concept of clinical scientists from abroad, the definition of its own characteristics and the problems they face, the further integration of clinical and research to guide.
