《女职工劳动保护规定》已于1988年9月1日开始实施。《规定》符合我国国情,是我国女职工生活中的一件大事。现就“为什么”和“怎样做”两问题谈谈对女职工劳动保护的看法,供有关同志参照。为什么对女职工进行特殊的劳动保护,是具有重要的社会经济和卫生保健意义的大事。妇女参加社会生产劳动是社会生产发展之需,也是妇女解放的重要标志之一。国际劳工组织(ILO)估计,1975年世界上有57500万女职工(约占世界劳力的35％)从事各种劳动;预计到2000年还要增加3万余人。我国建国初仅有女职工60余万 The “Labor Protection Regulations for Female Employees” came into force on September 1, 1988.
