内薯5号是内蒙古自治区1984年初命名的新品种。两年来在全国22个省、市、自治区示范推广,在大多数地区表现增产。该品种由内蒙古伊克昭盟农科所以乌盟713为母本,克疫实生薯后代为父本杂交选育而成。主要特性和栽培要点是: 一、丰产性能好,产量高而稳定。1981—1983年在内蒙24个区试点平均亩产1830公斤,比克新1号平均增产17.9％,居首位。1984—1985年在全国22个省、市、自治区推广,除灾区外,多数地区增产20％以上。二、淀粉含量高,品质好。在内蒙区试3年,淀粉含量达19.13％,比克新1号高5.47％。
