Application of WJ85558 Plasma Technology in Steel Melting - “Journal of Metals”, 1984, vol.36, No.2,46 ~ 56 (English). This article outlines and discusses the plasma technology’s ability to be used in metal redox and steel smelting. Reviewed recent developments and developments in plasma-based reactors for the production of steel, iron and non-ferrous metals. Outlines the process control, the consumption of raw materials adaptability, product quality and energy conservation. The merits and limitations of the thermal plasma-based reactor are briefly described in the light of identification, and the ability to challenge the blast furnace and the BOF steelmaking method is examined.
