The results of the six cases in the article confirm the availability of the cylinder sealing measures. Theoretical analysis and calculation illustrate the rationality and feasibility of the principle of cylinder sealing, and gives the guiding method of implementation. This counter-accident measure minimizes the occurrence of permanent bending of the on-site steam turbine rotor.
