席状岩墙群(Sheeted dikes)是蛇绿岩的重要组成部分之一。1980年6月上旬,在青藏高原国际科学讨论会的野外旅行中,英国地质学家葛斯(I.G.Gass)教授首先于西藏日喀则冲堆村(日喀则东南约19公里)西侧发现席状岩墙群。继之,作者于6—8月的野外工作中发现,在日喀则地区西起萨伽县吉定,东至白朗县罗布江孜,东西延伸约80公里的工作区内,普遍发育有席状岩墙群。这个发现大大完善了对雅鲁藏布江蛇绿岩的认识,对我国的蛇绿岩研究有重要意义。 Sheeted dikes are one of the most important components of ophiolite. In early June 1980, during the field trip at the International Scientific Symposium on the Tibetan Plateau, British geologist Professor IGGass first found the dilapidated rock wall on the western side of Chongqidao Village (about 19 km southeast of Shigatse) in Tibet group. After that, in the field work from June to August, the author found that in the working area extending from Jijiding, Saga Prefecture to the west and Loebanggi, Wall group. This discovery has greatly improved the understanding of the Yarlung Zangbo ophiolite and is of great significance to the study of ophiolite in China.
