我国的广告业起步是比较晚的,直到1979年春节,上海电视台才播出了新中国历史上的第一则电视广告。但起步晚发展却不慢,其几乎呈几何级数的膨胀速度绝对是“世界领先”的:仅仅21年后的今天,一天24小时,打开收音机、电视机,满耳朵、满眼睛的广告;翻开报纸、杂志,满版、满栏的广告;漫步街头、巷尾,满墙、满壁的广告;环顾左边、右边、前边、后边、上边、下边,满天、满地的广告……广告已经以惊人的速度蓬勃发展成为国民经济中的一个重要产业。截至2000年6月底,全国广告经营单位64472户,广告从业人员555806人,广告营业额282.23亿元。许多产品因广告而“丑小鸭”变“天鹅”;许多企业因广告而“小弟小”成“大哥大”;就业岗位因广告而增了几十万,国库税金因广告而添了几十亿——广告为
China’s advertising industry started relatively late. It was not until the Spring Festival of 1979 that Shanghai TV broadcasted the first TV commercial in the history of New China. However, the late start was not slow but its almost geometrically expansive speed was absolutely “world leading”: just 21 years later, today, 24 hours a day, radios and televisions were turned on, ears full of advertisements; Open newspapers, magazines, full-page, full-fledged advertisements; walk through streets, lanes, walls, and wall-filled advertisements; look around the left, right, front, back, top, bottom, sky, and earth.... Advertising has flourished at an alarming rate as an important industry in the national economy. As of the end of June 2000, there were 64,472 advertising agencies in the country, 555,806 advertising employees, and 28.223 billion yuan in advertising revenue.
