随着外语教学的不断深入,广大教师越来越认识到语言实践的重要性,同时也重视对学生语言运用能力的培养。这对提高外语教学质量以及学生掌握外语的水平有着极其重要的意义。我来到美国以后,深感在我们的教学中,缺乏对外国文化和习惯的深入了解和重视。以导致出现用中国文化套外国文化的现象,出现中文式的英语。这就使很多中国人到了国外感到所学的外语和外国人讲的不太一样。它直接影响了我们对外语的正确理解和使用。例如:当有生人进屋时,中国人很可能这样问:“Whom are you looking for?”(你找谁?)这对中国人来说,很能理解,不会有什么反感。而美国人则不用这样的问话,而说:“May I help you?”
With the continuous deepening of foreign language teaching, the majority of teachers are increasingly aware of the importance of language practice, but also pay attention to the cultivation of students’ language ability. This is of great importance for improving the quality of foreign language teaching and for students to master the level of foreign languages. After I came to the United States, I deeply felt that there was a lack of in-depth understanding and attention to foreign cultures and customs in our teaching. As a result of the emergence of foreign cultures using Chinese culture, Chinese-style English has emerged. This has caused many Chinese people to go abroad and feel that the foreign languages they learn are not the same as those spoken by foreigners. It directly affects our correct understanding and use of foreign languages. For example, when a stranger enters the house, the Chinese are likely to ask: “Whom are you looking for?” This is very understandable to the Chinese and there is no resentment. While Americans do not have such questions, they say, “May I help you?”
