在卫星通信中引入激光通信可以带来增大链路带宽、降低卫星重量等多方面的优点。由于光波波长极短,因而用口径很小的天线系统即可使光波具有极强的方向性,带来了很大的天线增益,但同时目标点光束的覆盖范围也随之急剧减小,因而不能沿用微波卫星通信的PAT系统。文中对星间激光通信使用的PAT系统的原理及关键技术进行了研究讨论,其中重点讨论了通信光束的捕获问题。
