The RMB 30 billion loan contract between China Development Bank and China Three Gorges Project Development Corporation was formally held on October 20, 1996 in Yichang. Premier Li Peng, Deputy Prime Minister Zou Jiahua, Governor of the China Development Bank Yao Zhenyan and General Manager of the China Three Gorges Project Development Corporation Lu Youyi attended the signing ceremony. The RMB 30 billion loan contract signed between the China Development Bank and the China Three Gorges Project Development Corporation accounted for 1/3 of the total investment of the Three Gorges Project. The National Development Bank has arranged annual loan for each year from 1994 to 2003.
