英语中的“be born in the purple”可以表示“出身王室”或者“出身显贵”。在此种意义上汉语中的“黄色”与英语中的“purple”的含义是对等的,与“yellow”是不对等的。
This paper starts from the metaphorical significance of “yellow ” and “yellow ”, analyzes the meaning of their non-equivalence, and studies the reasons why they are not equal. The significance and implication of the two nations, both visually and psychologically, of the colors of the two nations, are different in meaning. The color word “yellow ” has many other meanings in addition to the original meaning of yellow. At the same time, “yellow” in Chinese also has the meaning that “yellow” in English can not express. So “yellow” in English is sometimes not equal to “yellow” in Chinese. In the West, the Archon of Ancient Rome wore purple mantle, and “purple” symbolized the throne and throne in many European languages. In English, “be born in the purple” can mean “origin royal ” or “origin”. In this sense, “yellow” in Chinese is equivalent to “purple” in English, and “yellow” is not equivalent.
