梳理《庄子》主要英译本及其特点,分析原著句式修辞格的特点及汉译英实践中句式修辞格的一般处理方法。采用案例法分析汪榕培译本中排比、对偶、错综等修辞格的翻译。译者对于英汉两种语言中格式和修辞效果相似的排比、对偶等辞格多采用直译的方法,而对于辞格连用的句子及难以在英语中再现的修辞格如顶真、错综等采用释义或转化为其他辞格。指出这些译法在再现原文的文学特色和思想内容中的作用,分析译本所采用的翻译方法在实现译本整体目标中的作用。
The main English translation of Zhuangzi and its features are analyzed, and the characteristics of the original rhetoric of the sentence and the general treatment of the rhetoric of the sentence in the CE translation are analyzed. Using the case method to analyze Wang Rongpei’s translations of figures such as parallelism, duality, intricacy and other rhetorical devices. The translators use the method of literal translation for similar expressions and rhetoric in both English and Chinese languages, but use paraphrases in sentences that are used in speech and in figures that are difficult to reproduce in English Or converted to other figures of speech. Points out the function of these translation methods in reproducing the literary features and ideological content of the original texts and analyzes the role of the translation methods adopted in the translations in achieving the overall objectives of the translation.
