袁行霈先生“为学多方,长于分析,每触类而旁通,遂游刃于群艺,尝倡边缘之学;举凡音乐、绘画、宗教、哲学,思维所在,莫不成其论诗之注脚。”(林庚先生语)近著《陶渊明影像—文学史与绘画史之交叉研究》(中华书局2009年版),采用学科交叉的研究方法,以历代关于陶渊明的绘画为资料,揭示了陶渊明在历代画家心目中的影像,论述了陶渊明作为中国文化符号所体现的传统中国文人的美学理想和人生追求,及其所产生的广泛影响,开辟了陶渊明研究的新途径,拓展了绘画史的新领域。其中《以〈桃花源记〉为题材的作品》一章,展示了陶渊明的理想世界在后世的影像及影响,妙义无穷。本刊征得中华书局同意,摘录部分内容,名曰《桃花源影像》,以飨读者。
Mr. Yuan Xingtao, who is a multi-disciplinary and long-term analyst, is bypassed each time he touches the class. He then touches upon the art of groupwork and advocates the theory of the fringe; he holds the footnote of music, painting, religion, philosophy and thinking (Mr. Lin Geng) recently published the book “Tao Yuanming’s Image - A Cross Study of the History of Literature and Painting” (Zhonghua Book Company 2009 Edition). By using the interdisciplinary research method and the historical paintings of Tao Yuanming, The images of the painters of all ages show the aesthetic ideals and pursuit of life of the traditional Chinese literati represented by Tao Yuanming as a symbol of Chinese culture and their widespread influence. They opened up new ways for the study of Tao Yuanming and expanded the new field of the history of painting . Among them, the chapter titled “The Works of Peach Blossom Spring” shows the image and influence of Tao Yuanming’s ideal world in later generations. The magazine was approved by Zhonghua Book Company, excerpt some of the content, the name “Peach Blossom Image” to readers.
