荆三棱和黑三棱都是质地坚硬的干燥块茎,需润透方能切片或再以醋炒后入药。曾读黄基彬《荆三棱软化经验介绍》,大意是将药物大小分档,加水浸泡,大者泡2~3天,小者泡1~2天,取出,于坛内闷润3~4天;取出,放晾1天,用水洗一次;入坛继续闷润,再取出,放晾。如此反复闷润放晾2~3次后,即软化透心,可行切制。笔者认为,若照此法,一是浸泡时间长,会使水溶性成分大量耗失,二是闷润过久,尤当高温季节,药物表面会变色或生出白霜,致滑腻腐坏。
