我矿第三采矿场使用两台5L—40/8型空气压缩机,工作气压调定为8×10~5Pa,三班工作制,每班运转6.5h。1983年1月,我们将1号机低压气缸和高压气缸的活塞环改用聚四氟乙烯环,实现压缩机缸体的无油润滑。改革后的经济效益是明显的。但由于我们缺乏改造后的维护经验,1号机后冷却塔在1984年8月中旬发生起火事故,烧坏冷却器芯子两台。事故发生后,我们将空压机从后冷却塔至吸风过滤器逐步解体检查,并进行分析研究,发现起火原因是由于以下几方面的因素造成的。
