On March 27, Chinese property developer Country Garden Holdings Limited announced that Yang Huiyan was appointed vice chairman of the company. As a successor to the throne of the company, Yang Huiyan gained the trust of her father Yang Guoqiang, founder of Country Garden. She got into the board of directors as the executive director when Country Garden went public in 2007. After five years’training, she climbed to this position.
　　Yang Huiyan is said to be a low-key person like her father. She is diligent and admired by her comrades. Educated in foreign universities, Yang followed her father in the company’s actions and gradually exerts her own power.
　　Yang, 31, was the second daughter of her family. She graduated from the University of Ohio with a bachelor degree in marketing and logistics. She joined in Country Garden as the general manager of purchasing in 2005 and was selected into the board of directors one year later. She is said to be responsible for taking part in the decision making of the corporate strategy as the vice board chairman.
　　When Yang Huiyan joined in Country Garden, Yang Guoqiang transferred his stocks of Country Garden to her, establishing her role as his successor. Country Garden went public in Hong Kong in 2007 and Yang Huiyan’s personal assets increased to 66.5 billion HK dollars, making her the richest woman in China.
