李峤《楚望赋》及序内含着相互关联的两大理论:感物说与登临说。单以感物说而言,李赋并无多少创见。在登临说方面,李赋道出了登山临水,使人心瘁神伤的根本原因:“有求而不致,有待而不至”。更重要的是李峤《楚望赋》及序是结合登高望远必致伤感这一具体的感发形式来阐述感物兴思的现象与原因的,所以更具有综会性。此外,它也提示我们,屈、宋情怀与赋体文学对感物兴思及登临伤神现象与理论的影响,并意识到诗赋创作与理论发展客观存在的绵绵不绝的轨迹和李峤本人在文学发展史上的多样贡献。
