运用文字,免不了会出错,但要少出差错或误差。办法之一就是不要自行其“事”、各行其“事”。古书上说:恶术之阴,不可暂息;盗泉之水,无容误饮。这是劝人们不要在不吉详的树木之阴下休息,不要误取有不好名声的泉水解渴。我们在运用文字时也不可“误饮”。遣词造句,最多的“误”还是错用别字。错用别字,古人讥之为“鲁鱼亥豕不分”。错字,是写错的字,这在印刷中已可避免:别字,就是白字,是指把字错写成形近或音同的字。请看例子:“各高校各自为政,自行其事……”(本刊1999年第6期36页)这个例子中,作者把“是”误写为“事”。成语有“各行其是”和“自以为是”,这里的“是都是指自己以为对的。《孟子尽心下》云:自以为是,而不可与入尧舜之道,故曰德之贼也。”说的是,主观、
