进入21世纪后,随着时代的发展和社会的进步,我国正式进入了博物馆时代。博物馆作为传播人类精神文明的重要途径,不仅具有收藏、研究、教育三大基本功能,博物馆教育属于一项增进知识、增进技能、提升思想品德的社会性活动。相对于学校教育的狭义教育,民族地区博物馆的受众群体更为广泛,不仅担负着启迪人心、升华人类精神文明的重任,还发挥着促进民族文化的传播、传承,增进民族团结、促进共同繁荣进步的重要作用。博物馆教育是指“通过实物排布的陈列以及其他辅助形式对群众完成的直观教育活动”。本文试图以博物馆在近年来发挥社会教育作用的实践经验,简单阐述一下民族地区博物馆在发挥社会教育和民族文化文化传承方面所做的一些尝试和思考。
