日本雕塑艺术家Takahiro Iwasaki擅长创作造型惊人且规模宏大的日本古建筑微缩模型。近年来,Takahiro Iwasaki在国立台湾美术馆、巴黎东京宫、香港艺术中心、纽约C24画廊等地均展出过各类作品。受维多利亚国立美术馆委托,这位雕塑艺术家创作了一个容易让人们联想起日本严岛神社的微缩模型——Itsukushima。严岛神社创建于593年前后,是一座位于广岛西南部宫岛的古老神社,以建在海上的神社建筑与鸟居闻名,其最著名的便是立于濑户内海海中的大型鸟居(日式牌楼),它是严岛境内最知名的地标。本次展览便以这一古老神社为模型,呈现了Takahiro Iwasaki在维多利亚国立美术馆国际展中最新展出的史诗级微缩模型系列作品。该系列作品重现了严岛神社这一建筑物的华丽,以及其倒映在水中的逆向景观。
Japanese sculptor Takahiro Iwasaki specializes in the creation of miniature models of ancient and ancient Japanese architecture with astonishing and magnificent dimensions. In recent years, Takahiro Iwasaki has exhibited various works in the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Tokyo Palace in Paris, Hong Kong Arts Center, New York C24 Gallery. Entrusted by the National Gallery of Victoria, the sculptor created Iksukushima, a miniature model that easily reminds people of Japan’s Itsukushima Shrine. Itsukushima Shrine was founded around 593 and is an ancient shrine located on the island of Miyajima in the southwestern part of Hiroshima. It is famous for its shrines and temples built on the sea. Its most famous is the large Torii (Seto Inukai) Japanese archway), it is the most famous landmark in the territory of Itsukushima. Taking the ancient Shinto shrine as a model, the exhibition presents Takahiro Iwasaki’s latest collection of epic miniature models at the international exhibition of the National Gallery of Victoria. The series reproduces the magnificence of the Itsukushima Shrine building and its reverse landscape reflected in the water.
