我最早认识华国锋是1961年在长沙。当时,张平化(时任湖南省委第一书记)曾向我们这个调查组介绍当时湖南省的基本情况,华国锋作为分管财贸的书记参加了这个会议。但是他同我们调查组没有发生什么工作关系,我在湖南三个来月没有同他说过话,对他没有任何印象。我对他有印象是从1975年邓小平复出主持党中央和国务院日常工作时开始一直到他下台之后的这些年。
I first met Hua Guofeng in Changsha in 1961. At that time, Zhang Pinghua (then the first secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee) once briefed our investigation team about the basic situation of Hunan Province at that time. Hua Guofeng attended the meeting as secretary in charge of finance and trade. However, he did not have any working relationship with our investigation team. I did not speak to him in Hunan for three months and did not have any impression on him. I am impressed with him in those years since Deng Xiaoping returned from chairing the day-to-day work of the party Central Committee and the State Council in 1975 to the time of his resignation.
